Don’t put a cover on your changing pad. You’ll just have to go through the trouble of removing, changing and washing it. Leave it easy to wipe messes off and keep a pack of disinfecting wipes next to it.

Also lay your baby down super slowly with their feet, butt, back THEN head touching down. This reduces the startle reflex.

Easy nursing shirt

Get some old shirts and cut them in half, or use a crop top. Layer it over a nursing tank or a regular tank top that you can pull down enough. When you nurse, just pull up the half shirt and now your whole chest isn’t out!

Don’t worry about being a good singer. Baby loves your voice no matter what. What helps me is if I put one earbud in so I have something to sing along to. I always draw a blank without something to sing along to!

Use Google Calendar, put absolutely everything in there. Set it to remind you 3 days before, 1 day before and 2 hours before something like an appointment. Trust me this will save you a lot of mental load! And when you are IN the doctors office scheduling the next visit, put it in your phone AS you are making the appointment. I know you wanna get out of there ASAP but you’ll forget appointments a lot less!

Don’t kid yourself with cute clothes organization- yours, your partner’s or baby’s. You’ll just want to get it DONE and quickly. I really like the storage cubes with the fabric drawers. Have a general category and toss that shit in there. Hang up the onesies 4-5 to one hanger by hanging them upside down by one snapped crotch-button. Easy but still “neat”.
