My formal education was actually in the Health Information Technology realm! I obtained my medical billing and coding certificate, my associates degree in health information technology and obtained my Certified Professional Coder certification from AAPC in 2021. I worked in this field until 2023, and then I taught this topic at the college level from 2023 to 2024, when I had my second child. For the sake of my family I have shifted to independent contracting work, thus offering these services on an as-needed basis.
